Oilers Split With Storm

The University of Findlay baseball team split a twin bill with Lake Erie College on Sunday, April 17 at Fifth Third Field to give them a 9-21-1 record on the season with a 6-13 record in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Oilers won the first game 4-0 as Ryan Rothenbuhler pitched a five-hit shutout.

Rothenbuhler struck out seven batters and walked only two in the win.

Kyle Wilson drove in two runs and hit a solo home run in the second.

Dustin Zielaskiewicz and Jason Reitenbach also drove in runs during the game.

The Oilers fell in the second game 6-5 as Ethan James allowed three runs on three hits in one inning of relief to take the loss.

Reid Rothenbuhler drove in two runs and scored another while Zielaskiewicz crossed the plate twice during the game.

The Oilers will be back in action again on April 20 when they host Ohio Dominican University in a twin bill beginning at 1 pm.
