For the second straight day the Oilers scored double digits as they beat Oakland City by a score of 24-12 in the Clearwater Invitational in Clearwater, Fla. on March 5. The Oilers collected 25 hits and scored in every inning but two during the win.
Tommy Roush led the way with five hits and three runs batted in while Reid Rothenbuhler pounded out four hits and four runs batted in.
Victor Migliore and Garrett Busch each tallied three hits while Blake Schmenk, Joe Sickler, Kris Hayward and Jordan Garcia clubbed two hits apiece.
Jake Ireland picked up the victory on the mound after going 3.1 innings in relief of starter Darrell Thobe.
