Oilers Split With Northwood

The University of Findlay baseball team split a pair of games with Northwood University on Saturday, March 23 in Tiffin, Ohio.

In game one, the Oilers bats exploded for 13 hits in a 12-6 win.

Tied 2-2 going into the fifth, Findlay busted the game open when Tommy Roush recorded an RBI single with the bases loaded, scoring Dylan Cintula. Then, with the bases still loaded, Victor Migliore lined a rocket down the right field line for the two run double, making the score 5-2.

The Oilers tacked on one in the sixth and six in the seventh for the victory.

Migliore led the way at the dish going 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs. Roush and Cintula each had two hits and two RBIs, while Reid Rothenbuhler chipped in with a hit and two RBIs.

Drew Hargrove picked up his first win of the season, giving up six earned runs on 12 hits while striking out five.

In game two, Northwood scored four runs in the fourth to seal the game.

Rothenbuhler recorded two of the Oilers six hits while Cintula, Joe Sickler, Garrett Busch and Jordan Garcia each had one hit each.

The Oilers will be back in action tomorrow, weather permitting.
