Western Equestrian Wins Reserve Title

The University of Findlay western equestrian team was named the 2014 Intercollegiate Horse Show Association reserve national champion after racking up 25 points at the national meet. Ohio State won the show with 29 points.

The Oilers had three riders win national titles and they are listed below:

Kaitlin LeBlanc – Individual Open Horsemanship
Sara Shedd – Team Novice Horsemanship
Marissa Phillips – Team Advanced Horsemanship

Ashley Winters was crowned the reserve national champion in the NRHA Open Reining as well while Kristina Schnieder took home reserve honors in the individual novice horsemanship. Laura Bailey was also crowned reserve champion in the team intermediate horsemanship.
