English Equestrian Takes 9th at National Meet

The University of Findlay English equestrian team finished ninth at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) National Championship in Springfield, Mass. The Oilers finished the event with five team points.

In team competition, Grace Meagher finished fifth in the novice equitation over fences and also took sixth in the novice equitation on the flat. Elle Brady (intermediate equitation on the flat) and Megan Dulle (walk-trot equitation) also came away with sixth place finishes.

Marco Polo Uchoa was seventh in the open equitation over fences and Katie Pohlman was 12th in the intermediate equitation over fences.

In individual competition, Jessica Barno won a national title in the individual open equitation over fences while Pohlman (individual intermediate equitation on the flat) and Bethany Ockwell (individual open equitation on the flat) earned third place finishes.

Celina Ortiz was fifth in the walk-trot equitation and Sydney Barnett was eighth in the individual intermediate equitation over fences.
