Oilers Win Regional Show

On Sunday, March 4th, the Oilers Hunt Seat IHSA team travelled to the Sid Griffith Equestrian Center in Hilliard, OH, the home of the OSU Hunt Seat team, to compete at the Regional horse show.

The Oilers walked away with the overall team championship for Zone 6 Region 1 competition this season. With this win, the Oilers will advance to Zone 6 Finals on April 7th at Otterbein University.

Individually, the following riders competed for the Oilers and placed in their respective classes.

Mackenzie Barnes - 1st Novice Equitation Over Fences

Brianna Hallman - 1st Walk/Trot/Canter Equitation

Madison Schloemer - 2nd Walk/Trot Equitation

Alyssa Simin - 2nd Open Equitation on the Flat

Chloe Johnson - 4th Intermediate Equitation Over Fences & 6th Intermediate Equitation on the Flat

Marco Polo Uchoa - 5th Open Equitation on the Flat

Special congratulations to Marco Polo Uchoa who finished 3rd overall on the season in the Cacchione Cup standings, Sydney Barnett who finished 5th, and Alyssa Simin who finished 6th.
