Belton, White Earn Weekly GLIAC Honors

Senior quarterback Clay Belton and junior receiver Seth White were named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Offensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively, for their roles in the Oilers 29-27 victory at #10 Saginaw Valley State University.

Belton completed a school record 32-of-42 passes for 335 yards and two touchdowns.  His yardage total was also the second best mark in school history and he also added 16 yards rushing in the Oilers comeback win.

The Dayton, Ohio native completed 9-of-11 passes for 74 yards on the Oilers final drive, which ended in a 25-yard field goal by White.

In two games this season, Belton is averaging 311.5 yards per game and has four touchdowns with no interceptions thrown.  He is also completing 69.8 percent of his passing attempts as the Oilers are off to a 2-0 start.

White meanwhile racked up 103 yards receiving and a touchdown on seven catches.  He also kicked two extra points, had one punt for 19 yards and kicked the game-winning field goal from 25 yards out with only ten seconds to play.

The Bexley, Ohio native has been doing a little bit of everything this season for the Oilers as he has 11 catches for 188 yards and a score, seven extra points, two field goals and has averaged 26.2 yards per punt.
