Matracia Earns BSN Player of the Week Honors

Senior linebacker Zach Matracia was named the Beyond Sports Network (BSN) NCAA Division II Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 10 for his performance in the Oilers 38-0 win at Malone on Saturday.

Matracia had a huge day in helping the Oilers record their first shutout since the 2009 campaign as he racked up a team-high 12 tackles to go along with a sack, two tackles for a loss and two interceptions. He returned on of his interceptions 74 yards for a touchdown.

Matracia and the Oilers will play in their final game this Saturday when they travel to Marquette, Mich. to take on Northern Michigan at 1 p.m. in the Superior Dome.
