Ivory Collects Player of the Week Award

Findlay, Ohio - Following another lopsided victory in which the Oilers defense allowed just 14 points, senior Aaron Ivory has been named as the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC) Defensive Player of the Week. He is the fifth Findlay player to earn conference Player of the Week honors and the third on the defensive side of the ball.

Down 14-0 in the first quarter, the Kenctucky Wesleyan Panthers had finally gotten the ball onto the Findlay side of the 50-yard line and were looking to close the gap and keep the game close, but senior Aaron Ivory picked off a pass by quarterback Mike McGee and ran 64 yards for the score to put the Oilers ahead by three scores. He also made four tackles in the victory, a game in which many of the starters did not see action in the second half. Ivory now has three interceptions on the season, all of which have been returned for touchdowns.

This is Ivory's first conference Player of the Week award of his career.
