Tyler Lee Earns Defensive Player of the Week

Findlay, Ohio – Following a Week 10, 70-28 victory over Alderson Broaddus, Findlay sophomore Tyler Lee has been named Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Defensive Player of the Week, the first time in his career he has won conference Athlete of the Week.

In the dominating victory over the reigning conference champion, Lee intercepted consecutive passes by ABU's Patrick Bentley. The first interception came on the Battlers' third offensive play of the game. Lee intercepted a ball at the 47-yard line and returned it to the house for a touchdown. Four minutes later, Alderson Broaddus had a 63-yard kick return and took the field with the ball on Findlay's 21 yard line. However, the first play ended with another interception by Lee and gave the Oilers the ball back.

Lee is now tied for the conference lead in interceptions with teammate Aaron Ivory. They each have four picks on the season.

This is the fourth Defensive Player of the Week award for the Oilers and the sixth Player of the Week award overall.
