2018 Football Schedule

The University of Findlay football program has released their 2018 slate of games. The Oilers schedule features six road contests and five home games.

The Oilers are coming off of their best season at the NCAA Division II level. They finished the 2017 campaign with a 10-3 record and qualified for the playoffs for the first time in school history at the DII level. The Oilers proved to be a tough out in the playoffs as they advanced to the Sweet 16 before falling to Assumption College. They will return 18 players who received all-conference accolades from the 2017 season.

The Oilers will open their 2018 season on the road at Kentucky Wesleyan College on Sep. 1. They will then head to Ferris State University for a non-conference game on Sep. 8 in Big Rapids, Mich. The Bulldogs reached the Elite 8 last season and finished the year with an 11-2 record.

Findlay's first home game will take place on Sep. 15 when they welcome William Jewell College to town for a 1 p.m. contest at Donnell Stadium. They will then host the defending Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) champions, Ohio Dominican University, on Sep. 22 at 7 p.m.

The Oilers will be back out on the road for a conference contest against Lake Erie on Sep. 29 before returning home to face Hillsdale College at 3 p.m. on Oct. 6. The game is slated to be the Oilers Homecoming date.

Findlay will have their final non-conference game of the year on Oct. 13 at Charleston University. They will then head over to Alderson Broaddus University on Oct. 20 before returning home to host Walsh University at 7 p.m. on Oct. 27.

The final month of the regular season begins with senior day on Nov. 3. The Oilers will host Malone University in their final home contest at 1 p.m. in Donnell Stadium before ending the regular season at Tiffin University, the newest member of the G-MAC, on Nov. 10.

The NCAA Division II National Playoffs will begin on Nov. 17. The second round is scheduled for Nov. 24 with the Elite 8 taking place on Dec. 1. The Final 4 is slated to be held on Dec. 8 and the championship game will take place on Dec. 15.
