Richardson and Rheams Secure G-MAC Players of the Week

Findlay, Ohio – The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) announced their Football Players of the Week for the third week of the season on Monday, March 29. Findlay's Marlin Richardson was named Offensive Player of the Week while Shean Rheams was named Special Teams Player of the Week after they both had impressive performances in a 35-0 victory over Walsh on Saturday.

A native of Warren, Ohio, senior Marlin Richardson is off to a fast start to the 2021 spring season. Against Walsh, Richardson had five catches for 129 yards and two touchdowns, one of which went 75 yards. That 75-yard reception and his 67-yard reception last week are the two longest pass plays in the G-MAC this spring.

On special teams, junior Shean Rheams made the play of the game when, early in the second quarter, he burst through the Walsh offensive line, blocked a punt, picked the ball up and ran it 22 yards into the end zone for the touchdown, the first blocked punt for Findlay since the fall of 2018.
