Bostic Named Midwest Region Player of the Year

Senior forward Josh Bostic of The University of Findlay men's basketball team was named the Midwest Region Player of the Year as well as first team all-region on Wednesday, March 11 by Daktronics after receiving the most votes during the selection process.

Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition. The team is voted on by the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Bostic, the 2009 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Player of the Year, has averaged 17.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.6 steals per game for the top ranked Oilers this season.

The Columbus, Ohio native, who was also voted the GLIAC Tournament MVP after leading the Oilers to their fourth championship in the past six years, was a First Team All-American last year as a junior in voting done by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
