Oilers Win 20th, 65-51 Over Ashland

The University of Findlay men's basketball team defeated Ashland University 65-51 on Thursday, February 25 in Ashland, Ohio. The victory gives the Oilers a 20-5 record on the season with a 16-5 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

As a team, Findlay shot 42.1 percent (24-of-57) from the floor and forced 19 turnovers as they secured their ninth straight 20-win campaign.

Senior guard Marcus Parker led the way with 24 points and four assists while junior forward Tyler Sparks chipped in 13 points and six rebounds.

Junior guard Nathan Hyde added six points, six steals, four rebounds and three assists while freshman guard Aaron Robinson tallied six points, three rebounds and a pair of assists.

The Eagles were led by Bylynn Hatcher's 12 points while Cole More contributed 11 points and 13 rebounds.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Saturday when they face Tiffin University at 3:00 p.m. in Tiffin, Ohio.
