Parker, Hyde Named All-Region By Daktronics

Senior guard Marcus Parker and junior guard Nathan Hyde were selected as second team all-Midwest Region by Daktronics on Wednesday, March 10. Both players were first team all-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) picks this season.

Parker, the 2007 GLIAC Freshman of the Year, has been named to the all-GLIAC Tournament team all four years in which he has played at Findlay. He is currently averaging 15.1 points, 3.4 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game for the Oilers and has scored 1,475 career points, the 13th best total in the history of UF basketball.

Hyde, the 2010 GLIAC Tournament MVP, is currently averaging 18.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.2 steals and 1.9 assists per game. His 91 three pointers made this season is a new school record and he broke the GLIAC Tournament record for most points scored in a series as he racked up 84 during the Oilers championship run.
