Parker, Hyde Named 1st Team All-GLIAC

Senior guard Marcus Parker and junior guard Nathan Hyde of The University of Findlay men's basketball team were both selected as First Team All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) players on Thursday, March 4 at the Gardner Fine Arts Pavilion on the campus of The University of Findlay.

Ferris State University forward Justin Keenan took home honors as the player of the year while Saginaw Valley State University head coach Frankie Smith was tabbed the coach of the year.

Saginaw Valley State guard Chris Webb was honored as well as the freshman of the year.

Parker, a first team all-conference selection last year as well, has averaged 15.1 points, 3.1 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game during his senior season. The 2007 GLIAC Freshman of the Year ranks 14th all-time at Findlay with 1,447 points.

Hyde is averaging 17.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.2 steals and 1.9 assists per game thus far. He ranks 36th all-time with 1,045 career points and has splashed a team-high 78 three pointers on the season.
