Oilers Ranked 7th in NABC Poll

The University of Findlay men's basketball team is ranked seventh in the initial National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) NCAA Division II poll, which was released on Tuesday, November 1.

The Oilers, who finished last season with a 24-4 record en route to their ninth Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division title in the past ten years, will face the University of Dayton on Saturday, November 5 in an exhibition game at 7 pm.

Findlay, who has won 70 straight games in Croy Gymnasium, will open their regular season on Saturday, November 12 at home against Ohio Valley University.  The contest is scheduled to begin at 7 pm.

The Oilers are the only team ranked in the poll from the GLIAC. 

The Oilers have also won 104 straight regular season games at home. 

Their 70-game winning streak includes tournament play. 

The last time the Oilers were defeated at home was a 60-56 setback against Northern Kentucky University in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional on March 11, 2007.

Their last regular season loss at home came in 70-68 fashion against Gannon University on February 2, 2004.
