#7 Oilers Pound Glass, Win 92-62 Over Fighting Scots

The University of Findlay men's basketball team, ranked seventh in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) poll, defeated Ohio Valley University by a score of 92-62 on Saturday, November 12 in Croy Gymnasium.

The Oilers set a new school record with 63 rebounds in the game, snatching 21 offensive boards.  They also scored 62 points in the paint and held the Fighting Scots to a 32.9 percent (24-of-73) shooting clip.

Findlay connected on 44.4 percent (36-of-81) of their field goal attempts and also blocked nine Ohio Valley shots in the win.

Sophomore forward Greg Kahlig led the team with 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting.  He also tallied five rebounds, three steals, two assists and two blocks.

Senior guard Kyle Caiola registered 13 points, eight assists and five rebounds while senior forward Rob Marsden contributed 12 points and five boards.

Sophomore forward Mark Frilling came off the bench to score a career-high 11 points to go along with six rebounds and four blocked shots.

Ohio Valley received 20 points from Kendall Allison and 19 more from Jordan Brooks.

The Oilers, who have now won 71 straight home games, will be back in action again on Tuesday, November 15 to host Malone University at 7:30 pm in Croy Gymnasium.
