Caiola Named GLIAC Player of the Week

Senior guard Kyle Caiola was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division Player of the Week on Monday, Feb. 20.

Caiola led the Oilers to a pair of wins at home last week against Grand Valley State University and Ferris State University.  During the week, Caiola averaged 18.5 points, 6.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals per contest.  He also hit 93.8 percent (15-of-16) of his free throw attempts, 56.3 percent (9-of-16) of his field goal attempts and 50.0 percent (4-of-8) of his shots from behind the three point line. 

In the Oilers 68-57 win over the Lakers, Caiola had 12 points, six assists and four rebounds.  He then followed with a season-high 25 points, seven assists and five rebounds in the Oilers 74-69 win over the Bulldogs. 

On the season, Caiola is averaging 14.2 points, 3.8 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game.
