Oilers Still Ranked 7th in Midwest Region Poll
The University of Findlay men's basketball team remains seventh in the NCAA Division II Midwest Region rankings, which were released on Wednesday, Feb. 29.
Six out of the top eight spots in the poll belong to a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) East Division. Bellarmine sits at the top spot in the second poll of the year.
The Knights, who are the defending NCAA Division II national champions, are followed by Hillsdale, Northern Kentucky, Indianapolis, Kentucky Wesleyan and Southern Indiana.
Lewis takes the eighth spot with Wayne State and Ferris State behind them.
The Oilers have an 19-6 record against in-region opponents this season. Their win total is the second highest among the teams in the poll.
The top eight teams in the region will qualify for the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional, which is slated for March 10-13 on a campus site.
