Men's Basketball Ranked 10th in Midwest Regional Rankings
The University of Findlay men's basketball is ranked tenth in the first NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Rankings, which were released on Wednesday, Feb. 20.
The top eight teams in the region will qualify for the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional, which is slated for March 16-19. The top team in the rankings at the end of the season will earn the right to host the first three rounds of the NCAA Division II Tournament. The Elite 8 and Final 4 will then be held on March 28-30 in Louisville, Ky. before the NCAA Division II National Championship takes place on April 7 in Atlanta, Ga.
The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) dominated the first rankings as they have six teams occupying the top eight spots. The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) is represented by Wayne State University and Michigan Technological University in the top eight.
The Oilers have the second highest win total against NCAA Division II opponents with 16 victories. Their 16 wins also represents the second best mark against in-region competition.
