Kaufman Named GLIAC Player of the Week

Junior guard Dylan Kaufman of the Oilers men's basketball team was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division Player of the Week on Dec. 17.

Kaufman posted averages of 19.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game during the past week while shooting 58.1 percent (18-of-31) from the floor. He also connected on 57.1 percent (12-of-21) of his three point tries in that span.

The Berlin, Ohio native posted 19 points in the Oilers 70-59 loss at Michigan Tech on Dec. 13 and followed with 23 points and seven boards in Findlay's 81-74 loss at Northern Michigan on Dec. 15. He then scored 16 points to go along with six rebounds in the Oilers 76-72 win at home against Wheeling Jesuit on Dec. 16.

Kaufman ranks seventh in the GLIAC in scoring at 16.0 points per game and his 3.0 three pointers made per contest is the third highest mark in the league.
