Sullivan Named GLIAC Player of the Week

Junior forward Taren Sullivan was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division Player of the Week on Jan. 9.

Sullivan led the Oilers to three home wins during the week of Jan. 2-7 by averaging 12.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.3 steals per game. Sullivan began the week with 17 points and eight rebounds in the Oilers 120-67 win over Carlow on Jan. 2. He then missed a triple-double by only one rebounds in Findlay's 88-78 victory over 6th-ranked Saginaw Valley State on Jan. 5. In the win over the Cardinals, Sullivan produced ten points, a career-high ten assists and nine rebounds. Sullivan then closed the week with 11 points, six rebounds, six assists and a career-high five blocks in Findlay's 70-64 win over Wayne State on Jan. 7.

The Lima, Ohio native is averaging 16.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest for the Oilers this season.
