Sullivan Named NCAA DII All-American by NABC

Senior forward Taren Sullivan was tabbed a National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) NCAA Division II All-American for his performance during the 2017-18 campaign.

Sullivan, who earned first team all-Midwest Region accolades from the NABC and Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) as well, earned Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Player of the Year accolades for the Oilers this season. A first team all-league pick, Sullivan sported averages of 17.2 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game while helping lead Findlay to a Sweet 16 appearance and an overall record of 28-5.

Sullivan shot 52.6 percent from the field and also canned 41.6 percent of his three point attempts. He racked up 534 points during the year, the 20th-highest total in school history.

The Lima, Ohio native ranks 12th all-time at Findlay with 1,595 career points and has been named to the Midwest Region all-tournament team twice during his tenure with the program. He was also named all-Midwest Region by the NABC last year as well.

Overall, the Oilers have had six individuals earn All-American honors from the NABC. Dustin Pfeifer was the first to capture the honor during the 2005-06 campaign. Frank Phillips (2006-07), Josh Bostic (2007-08 & 2008-09) and Nathan Hyde (2010-11) have also earned the honor.
