Hunt Finishes 1st at SVSU Invitational

UF men's golfer Marcus Hunt tied for first at the Saginaw Valley State University Spring Invitational, which was hosted at the Boone Links Golf Course on March 22-23 in Florence, Ky.

Hunt, who shot a 1-over par score of 145, tied Davis and Elkins' Ian Clark for the top spot at the tournament as the Oilers finished seventh as a team with a two-round score of 624 (322, 302).

Hunt fired a one-over par score of 73 in the opening round on Saturday and then shot an even-par score of 72 in the final round on Sunday for his total.

Jack Kastor tied for tenth with a 151 (76, 75) while Dustin Lieber tied for 16th with a 153 (77, 76).

Jake North (87, 77 – 164), Stephen Sinchok (87, 78 – 165) and Adam Johnson (86, 88 – 174).

The Oilers will return to the links on March 30-31 at the Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational.  The event will be held at the Otter Creek Golf Club in Columbus, Ind.
