Men's Golf Takes 4th at ODU

The University of Findlay men's golf team kicked off their season with a fourth place finish at the Ohio Dominican Classic, which was held on Sep. 2 at the Jefferson Country Club in Blacklick, Ohio.

The Oilers carded a 315 in the tournament as Indianapolis won the event with a 293.

Senior Jake North paced the Oilers by taking sixth with a 74 while freshman Justin Roth tied for tenth with a 72.

Freshman Cam Wardley and senior Stephen Sinchok tied for 17th after they each posted a 78 while junior Dustin Lieber, senior Jack Kastor and senior Kirby Doidge each fired an 83, which was good for 39th.

Sophomore Ty Tweed and freshman Nicholas Graf also competed for Findlay and placed 49th and 52nd, respectively. Tweed carded an 88 while Graf ended the day with an 89. Graf also scored a hole-in-one, acing the par 3 15th.

The Oilers will return to the links again on Sep. 13-14 when they compete in the Saginaw Valley State Invitational. The tournament will be held at the Bay City Country Club in Bay City, Mich.
