Griffith, Kelly Lead Oilers on Day 1
The University of Findlay men's golf team completed day one of their Fall Invitational on Sep. 24 at Red Hawk Run Golf Course in Findlay.
Individually, sophomores Luke Kelly and Sam Griffith led the team on day one. Both players posted a 3-under par score of 69 and are tied for second at the tournament.
Senior Ryan Wilburn posted an even-par round of 72 to put him in a tie for 14th while junior Dylan DeWitt and sophomore Cameron Bruce each fired a 76, good for 43rd at the tournament.
Senior Nicholas Graf, junior James Riepenhoff, sophomore Peyton Cooper, freshman Parker Haynes and freshman Grant Williams are each tied for 57th with a 77 while sophomore Drew Prater, freshman Brock Kehres and senior Cam Wardley carded a 78, good for 69th at the event.
Senior Justin Roth (82), sophomore Andrew Bruns (85) and sophomore Grant Ricketts (86) are also competing for Findlay at the event.
The Oilers had three teams competing at the event. Findlay B is in ninth with an 8-over par score of 296, Findlay A is in a tie for 11th with an 11-over par score of 299 and Findlay C is in 14th with a 308.
Day two will be held at the Findlay Country Club tomorrow.
