Guarnieri Voted Men's Golf Coach of the Year

All-Conference Team

Dominic Guarnieri, the Oilers head men's golf coach, was named the 2018 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Coach of the Year.

Guarnieri led the Oilers to a conference title, their first since 2007, which enabled them to compete at the NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Super Regional. Their appearance at the regional was the first time the men have did so since the 2011-12 campaign.

The Oilers won the conference title by shooting a 54-hole score of 889 (290, 305, 294) at Four Bridges Country Club in Liberty Twp., Ohio. They then took 20th at the regional with a 54-hole score of 911 (305, 290, 316).

In addition, junior Dylan DeWitt, seniors Justin Roth and Cam Wardley, and sophomore Luke Kelly were each named all-conference.

DeWitt finished in a tie for second at the conference tournament while Roth and Wardley took fourth and fifth, respectively. Kelly meanwhile finished 17th.
