Oilers in 2nd Place at Lindenwood Invitational

St. Charles, MO- The University of Findlay men's golf took the course at the Lindenwood Invitational on Monday, March 22nd at Missouri Bluffs Golf Course. The Oilers are currently in 2nd place going into the final round tomorrow. The Oilers shot a first round score of 294 (+10) then followed up the next 18 holes with an even par round of 284.

The Oilers were led by freshman Donnie Professori who sits in a tie for second place. He fired an even par round of 71 in the opening round and followed up the second round with a three under par 68. His 139 total is tied for the sixth best 36-hole score in school history. He also leads in birdies made in the field with 12 through two rounds.

Next for the Oilers was senior Luke Kelly who fired a two round total of 144 (73,71). He currently sits on a tie for 12th and is tied for the second most birdies in the field with eight total.

Freshman Justin Atkinson sits in a tie for 12th as well with a 36-hole score of 144. He shot 73 in the opening round then followed up an even par round of 71 in the second round.

Following Atkinson was senior Parker Haynes with a two round total of 151. He shot 77 (+6) in the first round then came back with a 74 (+3). He sits in a tie for 29th.

Rounding out the Oilers team was junior Tanner Grzegorczyk. He shot a second round score of 76 (+5), but signed an for an incorrect scorecard and was disqualified in round one.

Playing as individuals in the tournament were senior Brock Kehres and junior Caleb Westfall. Both are in a tie for fourth after putting together a two round total of 140 (-2). They each shot a first round score of 69, two-under par, then stayed steady by each shooting an even par 71.

The Oilers will look to make a climb up the leaderboard to try and win their second tournament on the 2020-21 season. The final round will take place once again at Missouri Bluffs tomorrow, March 23rd at 10:00 a.m.
