Oilers in Fourth Through Two Rounds at Ken Partridge Invitational

Noblesville, Ind. - The University of Findlay men's golf team participated on Monday, April 10, the second of three days of the Ken Partridge Invitational. The event is being held at Purgatory Golf Club at 7,097 yards and par 72. Through two rounds, Findlay is in fourth at 589 (+13) after scores of 291 (+3) and 298 (+10).

Through 36 holes, Hunter Foltz is the top player for the Oilers and is sitting in a tie for fifth. He put together rounds of 72 (E) and 71 (-1) and has a 36-hole score of 143 (-1).  He has been playing solid golf for two days, making just four bogeys in the first 36 holes to go along with five birdies and 27 pars, the most in the field.

In a tie for 16th is Donnie Professori who shot 72 (E) yesterday and followed that up with a 75 (+3) on Monday for a 36-hole score of 147 (+3). His round today began with a bogey, but he steadied the ship, playing the next 11 holes at two-under. Four bogeys down the stretch slightly tarnished his round but still has him inside the top-20 with 18 holes to play.

The next group of Oilers is bunched in the middle of the pack. Freshman Luke Metzger is in a tie for 45th at +9 (153). He had a standout opening round, carding a 71 (-1), but struggled a bit today, posing an 82 (+10).

Right behind him is Caleb Westfall who put together rounds of 76 (+4) and 78 (+6) for a two-round score of 154 (+10). He sits in 51st while teammate Justin Atkinson is one spot behind in a tie for 52nd. Atkinson shot 81 (+9) on Sunday but came back with a 74 (+2) on Monday for a total of 155 (+11).

Individuals Tyler Vallee and Jonathan Green are also participating in the event. Vallee is in T45 with a 153 (+9) after rounds of 73 (+1) and 80 (+8). Green is T69 with a 160 (+16), posting rounds of 82 (+10) and 78 (+6).

The event will conclude tomorrow, April 10 with the final 18 holes.
