Five Oilers Earn All-Conference Honors

2022-23 Great Midwest All-Conference

Indianapolis, Ind.- The Great Midwest Athletic Conference released their annual postseason awards today, May 5. Five Oilers were named all-conference during the 2022-23 campaign. 

Earning all-conference honors for their performance at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship were senior Hunter Foltz. The top eight finishers in the tournament earned the honor automatically. Foltz finished in a tie for second with rounds of 75 (+3), 70 (-2), and 73 (+1) left him at two-over par. Meanwhile, Metzgar came in fifth, recording rounds of 76 (+4), 70 (-2), and 74 (+2) to finish at four-over par. 

Earning the award by votes were senior Tanner Grzegorczyk and juniors Donnie Professori and Justin Atkinson

Senior Tanner Grzegorczyk has a current scoring average of 71.48. He was named the G-MAC Athlete of the Week on both Sept. 12 and Sept. 26. This is the Glenshaw, Pa. native's fourth all-conference award of his career. 

Junior Donnie Profesori is averaging 73.60 on the year. His best finish of the year came at the West Liberty Invitational where he finished fifth. He carded rounds of  76 (+4), 65 (-6) and 69 (-2) to lead the Oilers to the team title.  

Justin Atkinson, the junior from Brookfield, Ohio, is carrying a 73.75 scoring average on the season. The highlight of his season also came at the West Liberty Invitational where he broke the 18-hole scoring record, shooting a 63 (-8). He finished the tournament in a tie for second at nine-under par.
