Oilers in Fifth Through 36 at NCAA Regionals

Winona, Minn. - The University of Findlay men's golf team is currently in fifth place at the NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Super Regional, which wrapped up day two, May 12. The event is being held at the 6,778, par 71, Bridges Golf Course. They recorded an opening round 287 (+3) before following it up with a 296 (+12), today. 

Leading the Oilers were juniors Donnie Professori and Justin Atkinson. Professori shot an opening round of 70 (-1) which he followed up today with a 73 (+2). Atkinson meanwhile recorded rounds of 72 (+1) and 71 (E). They are both tied for ninth at one-over par.

Senior Caleb Westfall is in a tie for 36th at six-over par. He has carded rounds of 74 (+3) and 74 (+3). Senior Hunter Foltz is in a tie for 48th, carding rounds of 71 (E) and 79 (+8). Rounding out the lineup for the Oilers is freshman Luke Metzger he shot an opening round 76 (+4) before a 78 (+6), today. 

The Oilers will be back in action tomorrow for the final round tomorrow. The top six teams will then advance to the NCAA Division II National Championship which will be hosted in Warren, Ohio on May 22-26.
