Professori Shoots 77 on Day 2 at National Championship
Warren, Ohio – University of Findlay men's golfer Donnie Professori took on the second day of competition at the 2023 NCAA Division II Men's National Championship on Tuesday, May 23. The event is being hosted at the Avalon Lakes Golf Course in Warren, Ohio.
Through 36 holes of play, the Oilers' junior finds himself in a tie for 91st on the individual leaderboard with a score of 156 (+12). On Tuesday, Professori began his round with a par on the first before making a double-bogey on the second hole. Three straight birdies on holes 4, 5, and 6 got him to one-under on the round. He would make the turn at two over before ultimately shooting a second-round score of 77 (+5).
Professori, the Oilers' first individual in program history to earn a trip to the DII National Championship, will wrap up his tournament tomorrow, May 24. He will tee off at 8:25 am.
