The University of Findlay men's soccer team picked up their first victory of the season on Friday, September 10 as they defeated Lake Erie College by a score of 3-1 at DeHaven Field. The win gives the Oilers a 1-2 record on the season with a 1-1 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

McGee scored at the 25:32 mark of the opening period off of an assist by Williams as the Oilers headed into halftime with a 1-0 lead.

In the second half, Gogolin quickly got the Oilers an insurance goal just seven minutes into the period off of an assist by freshman Logan Lipinski and Williams tacked on another after scoring on a penalty kick a minute later.

The Storm then added a late goal to round out the scoring.

Sophomore Matthew Brooks picked up the win in net for Findlay by making two saves.
