Oilers lose to Lake Erie at Home

The University of Findlay men's soccer team lost 4-1 to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) foe Lake Erie College on Friday, September 20 at DeHaven Field. 

The Oilers jumped out to a 1-0 lead when sophomore Mark Sleasman scored at the 18 minute mark.  His goal was assisted by sophomore Ryan Poyle

Lake Erie quickly tied it up when Alfred Majer scored at the 21 minute mark.  His goal was assisted by Ryan Gibson. 

Lake Erie took the lead when Jeffery Swanson scored at the 48 minute mark.  His goal was assisted by Ryan Gibson.

Lake Erie extended their lead when Alfred Majer scored his second goal of the game at the 68 minute mark.  His goal was assisted by Ryan Gibson.

Alfred Majer scored his third goal for Lake Erie on a penalty shot that occurred at the 84 minute mark.

Findlay goalkeeper Joe McClanahan took the loss in the net and had six saves in the process. 

The Oilers, who are now 1-3-1 on the year, will face Notre Dame (OH) on Tuesday, September 24 at DeHaven Field at 4 p.m.
