Oilers lose to Saginaw Valley on the road

The University of Findlay men's soccer team lost to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) foe Saginaw Valley State University 3-0 on Friday, September 27 in University Center, Michigan.

The Cardinals jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Jordan Kalk scored at the 22 minute mark.  His goal was assisted by Tyler Channell.

The Cardinals quickly extended their lead when Tyler Channell scored off of an assist by Mitch Reinhart at the 24 minute mark.

Tyler Channell scored his second goal of the game at the 45 minute mark.

Findlay goalkeepers Alex Jurek and Joe McClanahan took the loss in the net and had a combined five saves in the process. 

Saginaw Valley dominated offensively with a 23-12 advantage in the shot department.

With the loss, the Oilers fall to 2-4-1 on the season with a 0-4 mark in GLIAC play.  They will be back in action on Sunday, September 29 at 2:30 p.m. when they face GLIAC foe Northwood (Mich.) on the road.
