Sleasman Named 1st Team All-GLIAC

2013 All-GLIAC Release

Sophomore Mark Sleasman of the Oilers men's soccer team was named first team all-conference as the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced their yearly awards on Friday, Nov. 8.

Sleasman finished second on the team with five goals and tied for the team lead in assists with five.  He also scored two game-winning goals on the year and finished the year with 15 points.

In his brief career with the Oilers, the Findlay, Ohio native has racked up nine goals and six assists.

Fellow sophomore Ryan Poyle was also honored by the GLIAC, earning second team all-conference accolades.

Poyle led the Oilers with seven goals and also registered five assists.  He also scored two game-winning goals and led the team with 19 points.

The Avon, Ohio native has accumulated ten goals and seven assists during his time with the Oilers.

Senior Nick Naayers, a Holland, Ohio native, earned honorable mention all-league status after finishing his final season with one goal scored.
