Men's Soccer Ties Lake Erie in Double OT

Findlay, OH- The University of Findlay men's soccer team tied the Lake Erie College Storm on Sunday, October 9.  This tie gives the Oilers a 5-6-1 overall record and a 4-5-1 conference record.

The first half proved to be scoreless as the Oilers and the Storm battled in the middle of the field. 

The Oilers attained one shot on goal, while the Storm attained three shots on goal.

The defense, lead by freshman Kegan Winkler and senior Aidan Curran kept Lake Erie out of the net in the first half.

The second half was also scoreless as the Oilers and Storm continue to fight to score.  This lead to the first overtime.

At the end of the second half, the Oilers had a total of nine shots with seven on goal to the Storm's twelve shots and five shots on goal.

At the end of the first overtime, the Oilers and Storm were still tied 0-0.

The second overtime was still scoreless, as the Oilers and Storm tied the game 0-0.

The Oilers will take the pitch again on Wednesday, October 12 at 3:30pm at Saginaw Valley State University.
