Oilers Fall to the Rock

The University of Findlay men's soccer team lost a close game to Slippery Rock University by a score of 1-0 on Sunday, Sep. 5 at DeHaven Field. This is the Oilers first loss of the season and gives them a 1-1 record on the year.

The Oilers left themselves tied after the first half but a goal by Alex Plimmer, with an assist by Ramses Minaya in the 57th minute, found the Oilers on the chase.

Findlay was led by junior Harrison Szep who had five shots, two being on goal. Sophomore Mitchell Hanosh would also contribute three shots. The Oilers would have 13 shots to the Rock's 7.

The Oilers will play their next contest on Saturday, Sep. 11 at Purdue Northwest at 3:30pm.
