Oilers Wrap Laker Last Chance

The University of Findlay men and women's outdoor track and field teams competed at the Laker Last Chance Meet on May 10 in Allendale, Mich.

Maud Sanmiquel took fourth in the 400-meter hurdles with a NCAA automatic qualifying time of 1:00.12, which was also fast enough to establish a new school record.

Carlie Stump, Adrianna Powell-Lawrence, Kadesha Roberts and Kirsten Gaerke teamed to take second in the 4x400-meter relay at 3:52.50.

In men's competition, Ben Hahler placed first in the shot put with a NCAA provisional qualifying toss of 54'09.50.

The Oilers will now wait to find out who has qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championship, which is scheduled to take place on May 22-24 in Allendale, MIch.
