The University of Findlay softball team lost a pair of games at Grand Valley State on Saturday, April 27. The Oilers fell 6-5 in the first game and then lost 11-0 in the second game to give them a 25-13 mark on the 2013 season and a 13-11 record in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

Jenna Motuza went 4-for-4 at the plate and Tori Allen homered in the opener. Allen recorded two RBI for the Oilers.

Brittany Dauterman sported the loss, giving up six runs on 12 hits in seven innings of work.

In the second game, Tawna Whited took the loss after allowing six runs on six hits and a walk in two frames on the mound.

Motuza, Emily Reynolds and Courtney Dwyer each had a base hit in game two.

The Oilers will wait on conference play tomorrow to determine a spot in the GLIAC tournament. First day of the tournament will begin on Friday, May 3, at the Marathon Complex in Findlay, Ohio.
