UF Softball Inks 5

Five players committed to the UF softball program by signing letters of intent during the November period. The group includes Ohio players Hailey Bryan of Bishop Ready, Molly Crosby of Wayne Trace and Rebecca Harvey from Elmwood. The remaining two hail from Michigan, Brea Cleland of Almont and Carleigh Cousino from Airport.

Bryan is a pitcher and first baseman who has earned both first team and second team all-CCL honors, plus scholar-athlete recognition. Crosby is a pitcher and infielder who was named all-county while leading her state-qualifying team in runs batted in. Harvey is a shortstop who earned first team all-Ohio honors last season and has been named first team all-NBC and all-district twice. Cleland is a third baseman and shortstop who was named MHSAA all-county, all-district and all-academic three times each. Cousino is a catcher and first baseman who has earned second team and honorable mention all-Huron League honors. She has also been named All-District and All-Region on three occasions each.

"We have been very pleased with the influx of talent from our past few recruiting classes," remarks head coach, Ron Ammons. "The competition for positions on our team has gradually accelerated. We hope to continue to see the results on the field of play."
