UF Softball Releases 2016 Schedule
The University of Findlay softball team will begin their season at the Dome at the Ballpark in Rosemont, Ill. for a tournament on Feb. 26-27 against Lindenwood, Wisconsin-Parkside, Lewis and Illinois-Springfield. They will then head to Clermont, Fla. for their spring trip on March 1-6.
The Oilers will host Cedarville in a doubleheader on March 15 before playing three straight twin bills on the road. They will be at Davenport on March 18, at Madonna on March 19 and at Lourdes on March 23.
On March 25 the Oilers will host Northwood for two games before welcoming Lake Superior State to town for two more on March 26. They will then travel to Ohio Dominican for a pair of contests on March 29 before returning home to host Northwestern Ohio on March 31.
April begins with a trip to Malone for a doubleheader on April 2, followed by a two-game set against Walsh on April 3. The Oilers will then host Lake Erie on April 6 before getting back out on the road to battle Grand Valley State (4/9), Ferris State (4/10) and Tiffin (4/13) in GLIAC twin bills.
On April 16 the Oilers will host Wayne State for two games and stay at home for a pair of doubleheaders against Saginaw Valley State (4/17) and Ashland (4/19). They will then close the regular season at Hillsdale on April 23.
The Oilers are once again hosting the GLIAC Tournament. They will welcome the best from the GLIAC to Marathon Diamonds on April 29. Competition will continue to be played on April 30 with the championship game slated for May 1.
