The University of Findlay softball team defeated Glenville State University by a score of 7-5 on Feb. 26 in Glenville, W. Va. The win gives the Oilers a 3-4 record on the season.
Junior Caroline Turner led the offense by going 3-for-4 with two runs batted in while freshman Avery Shephered went 1-for-3 with two runs batted in and one run scored.
Freshman Emma Bode finished 1-for-2 at the plate with two runs batted in while senior Caragyn Yanek picked up the win by allowing five runs, only three earned, in seven innings of work. She also struck out nine and walked three.
The Oilers will be back in action again tomorrow at Glenville to face West Virginia State at 9am and Glenville State at 11am.
