Radmanovic and Women's Relay Earn All-American Titles

The University of Findlay men and women's swimming and diving teams competed in the second day of Division II National Championship competition in Indianapolis, IN.  The Oilers had outstanding performances for the day, breaking school records and reaching all-American titles.  

The women's 200 medley relay team of senior Jessica Ward, senior Kaley Holmstrom, junior Meri Cizmar, and freshman Amanda Stiegal earned ninth place with a time of 1:43.09 in the event.  This performance not only earns the team the new school record in the event, but they are also awarded all-American honors.  

Findlay's Holmstrom finished seventeenth in the women's 200 individual medley with a time of 2:05.62.  Holmstrom did not set a new school record in the event but continues to hold the record title with a time of 2:04.35 set in 2014. Senior teammate Ward also placed twenty-third in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:06.36.

Sophomore Janko Radmanovic set a new school record in the men's 50 yard freestyle.  Radmanovic placed fourteenth overall in the event with a time of 20.22. With this record breaking time the sophomore standard is awarded all-American honors. Radmanovic currently holds the school record in the event with a time of 20.34 set in 2015.

The Oilers continue their competition in the National Championships Thursday, March 10 at 10:30am in Indianapolis, IN.
