Oilers Take 4th at Calvin Invitational

Grand Rapids, MI – The University of Findlay women's and men's swimming teams completed their competition at the Calvin Winter Invitational on Saturday, December 2 at Calvin College.

The women and men both finished fourth overall, with the women totaling 1,327 points and the men totaling 1,136.5 points.

Janko Radmanovic finished first in the 100 yard butterfly with a B standard qualifying time of 47.95 to lead the men.

The men's 400 yard freestyle relay team of Radmanovic, Conner Whitaker, Trent Williams and Mark Billeaud took fourth with a school record time of 3:04.67 while the Oilers 200 yard medley relay team of Trae Gulgin, Isaac Stretch, Whitaker and Williams finished fourth and established a new school record at 1:32.37.

Hanna Cederholm grabbed second place in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:08.02 to lead the women while Emma Barnes finished third in the same race with a time of 2:09.16.

Amanda Stiegal claimed third in the 100 yard freestyle with a B standard qualifying time of 51.89 while Cederholm finished third in the 200 yard breaststroke with a B standard qualifying time of 2:19.95.

The women's 200 yard medley team of Cederholm, Stiegal, Katy Kouvaris, and Kathryn Samuelson finished third with a time of 1:44.78.

The Oilers will be back in action January 13 when they travel to Grand Valley State University.
