Former UF Standout Charnigo Reaches Finals
Former UF track standout Stephanie Charnigo (2007-10) took second place in the preliminary round of the 1,500-meter run at the USATF Championship on June 27 in Sacramento, Calif.
Charnigo, who is running for New Jersey/New York Track Club, placed second in the opening round with a time of 4:09.
The Medina, Ohio native was a six-time NCAA Division II All-American for the Oilers and also had a hand in four Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) championships. She will compete in the finals of the event on Sunday.
