Golden Flash Gala Comes to a Close
The University of Findlay men and women's indoor track and field team competed on day two of the Golden Flash Gala at Kent State University on Saturday, Dec. 12.
Sophomore Alex DeVincentis earned a third place finish in the shot put for the women's team with a toss of 49'11.75". That distance meets the NCAA provisional standard in the event. Junior Liz Streacker also competed in the event with a throw of 42'06.75", which was good enough for ninth.
Freshman Austin Combs paced the men with an eighth place finish in the shot put at 51'01.75." Senior Parker Schroeder finished ninth with a 49'10.50" throw and junior Mitch Adkins placed 17th with a heave of 46'08.25."
The Oilers men and women's indoor track and field teams will be back in action Jan. 9 in Hillsdale, Mich. for the Hillsdale Winter Open.
