Track Earns Academic Honors
Both the University of Findlay men and women's track teams earned all-academic honors for the 2015-16 campaign from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
To be considered for the award, a track program must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or higher. The women's team finished the year with a 3.46 GPA while the men recorded a 3.27 GPA.
In addition, Holly Averesch, Alex DeVincentis, Samantha Grippe, Maud Sanmiquel, Madison Stechschulte and Liz Streacker earned academic all-American honors from the women's team.
Michael Bruce, Trey Everett, Ben Hahler and Sergi Torres captured the honor for the men's squad.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, a student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have reached a provisional or automatic qualifying standard for the NCAA Championships in either the indoor or outdoor seasons.
