Mungro | England Named Athletes of the Week

Junior Sterling Mungro and sophomore Morgan England were both named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Field Athletes of the Week on Feb. 23.

Mungro captured a first place finish for the Oilers in the weight throw at the Grand Valley State Tune-Up on Feb. 19 with a G-MAC record-breaking toss of 71'04.00, which is the second-best throw in NCAA Division II this season. The throw was also a NCAA automatic qualifying heave.

England meanwhile took second place in the pole vault at the same event with a school and G-MAC record-breaking mark of 13'07.75. The NCAA automatic qualifying height reached by England is the fourth-best among NCAA Division II pole vaulters this season.
